Fifth Ward Needs A Library

With a primary focus on promoting literacy in the Fifth Ward Community, we partnered with the University Of Houston Gerald Hines College Of Architecture and the Design Build Master’s Classes to bring to completion a structure to fit within an existing unused donated structure.

This building will serve as a resource for the community, a safe place where all ages can enjoy the mind developing experience of reading. This one - of- a - kind space will not only house books, but will also utilize technology for its volumes (tablets, e-readers, iPads, etc.)

We have been quoted an amount of approximately $70,000 to shore up the existing foundation, and install the “ribs” into their permanent home.
